You can join if you want to be part of the group – there is no obligation – and of course you can leave anytime (or turn off notifications if the chatter gets too much), but please read and observe our WhatsApp Etiquette.
WhatsApp Etiquette
- Stay on Topic. Before posting, ask yourself if the message is relevant to the group's main purpose. (i.e Chorale business, anything relating to choral music, choirs, music generally, the arts etc.).
- Be Respectful and Polite. Treat others with courtesy and avoid anything which might offend.
- Respect Privacy. Don’t share pictures or sensitive details of others without their consent.
- Take private conversations offline. If you find yourself in a one-on-one exchange with another member, switch to a private message to avoid cluttering the group chat.
- Check the Time. Avoid posting messages between the hours of 10:30pm - 7am
If you are not sure, ask yourself these three questions before you post:
- Is this relevant?
- Is this necessary?
- Is this a good time to post?
There is a direct link from the “information” panel on the WhatsApp group to the members’ page of our website, where you will find rehearsal dates and tipps and all sorts of information.
The group is for active members of the Chorale, so we are asking members leaving the choir to remove themselves or be prepared for an Administrator to remove them from the group.
